OSX-Backup Tools -
The 13 Dollar shareware iMsafe backs up data stored on any mounted OS X volume (such a HD) to any mounted OS X volume. Backups can be run from within iMsafe or be scheduled to occur every day, on weekdays or on a specific day of the week.
On reader notes: "One thing to note about this program (and this is mentioned in its docs), is that since it is a front end for the backup util that's in UNIX, it doesn't back up resource forks. This is less important under X, but it could affect some files."
Another solutions may be Synk 3.1.2 (15 $ shareware), which "helps you copy files from one folder to another. This is useful for backup and folder synchcronization. Since only modified files are copied, the process is very fast." (February 28., 2002, )

[ Rumors ]: "... insiders have told Rumors that the company isn't going to update the iPod until it is ready with new capabilities for the device -- most likely, an ultracompact CD-RW drive. (...) Whatever the details, expect the iPod to expand from simply a portable MP3 player to a full-blown miniature, ultraportable home entertainment system. The first step is expected to be CD-RW drives and external speakers....then on to digital video and even Internet connectivity!"

Photoshop 7 - The Features -
An anonymous Mac OS Rumors reader sent in a review of Photoshop 7 with details about features to come, including "...a Set button. You can now create a set (which looks like a short layer), you drop layers on it and they nest as they if they were files in the finder's list view with the folder arrow swiveled open/down. This may not seem like a big thing, but it is! This allows you to be more organized with your layers. you can create entire trees of sets and hide and show the set's contents on your document with one click. BTW: The Sets do in fact work with DVD Studio Pro." [ more... ] (February 10., 2002, )
