Auto-Design - oder warum "Designer" nicht nur nicht programmieren, sondern auch nicht designen sollten.

Hier ist die Antwort auf die Frage, die vor einiger Zeit "Designer" und "Programmierer" auf die Bäume trieb:

Autoshop takes the clean-cut, productive interface of a well-known commercial software product (Photoshop in case you hadn't noticed) and imbues it with ideas of self-generative, autonomous, (creative?) influence and activity. The output is both entertaining, startling and thoroughly usable.

Autoshop is the culmination of over a year's work on many autonomous, A.I., generative and 'creative' studies. It brings together many important aspects of research regarding creativity, perception, notions of value and/or authenticity (Web site was down this night).

Here's another one: Auto-Illustrator is an experimental generative vector graphics application. After this release, the software will reach version 1.0 and will be sold commercially, but can be downloaded for free now. There's also a plugin that turns your vector documents into synthesized audio landscapes.

Among many other plugins, "The 'Preview site via local web server'"command whichs allows the setup and support for previewing sites via multiple local web servers looks promising.

Harry Potter: a brief review - The good news first - there is very little bad news at all.

[ plasticbag ]: "It's an honourable, faithful and entertaining translation that only falls down in a few areas, and not enough for it to spoil what is essentially one of the best children's films I've ever seen. -- You couldn't get a much more faithful adaptation than this. Harry Potter und der Satellit des Cutters - Der in Kürze hierzulande anlaufenden Harry Potter-Film wurde zum Teil via Satellit bearbeitet.
