Cartoon software Animo goes Mac OSX - Cambridge Animation Systems' cartoon software ANIMO was one of the highlights during the European research project EUROPORT D that we helped to promote in 1998. Now CAS has announced that it will bring Animo to Mac OS X.
Cambridge Animation Systems has announced that it will bring Animo , its 2D and 3D animation software, to Mac OS X, although the company has not said when the Mac OS X version will be released. Animo seamlessly integrates 2D and 3D animation for development of feature films, animated television series, commercials, games, and multimedia projects. The Mac OS X version of Animo will be able to exchange files with both the Windows and IRIX versions as well.
For e-mediate and TextLab, this is good news in two ways: First, Animo was a very successful partner during the EUROPORT D project that we have accompanied with various services, including a promotional video (go to EUROPORT D there). Good to see an old friend back.
Second, we will be able to use this world-class software now without compromising our production standards (lots of Macintoshs, UNIX, one lonley Intel PC). Chief cartoonist Karl Bihlmeier will get his hands on it as soon as possible. (May 27., 2001, )
